Today, Damascus University announced more than 200 scholarships offered by the Hungarian government, “Ministry of Human Energies,” for undergraduate and postgraduate students, “Masters and Ph.D.” in various specializations for the academic year 2021-2022.
In an announcement that SANA received a copy of, the university indicated that the scholarships include a monthly stipend of 130 euros for students applying to undergraduate and master's scholarships, and 450 euros for students applying for doctoral scholarships, in addition to an exemption from registration fees, housing provision or a financial allowance, while the student covers travel expenses.
On the mechanism for accepting students in these scholarships, the university clarified that after completing the application for these scholarships, the Hungarian side sends the names of the total number of applicants to Damascus University to nominate the required number of them later and inform the concerned authority in Hungary.
According to the university announcement, scholarships will be submitted directly and exclusively through the dedicated website from the Hungarian side until the fifteenth of next January, noting that the site includes the documents required for registration, including a copy of the certificate obtained by the student and a transcript of marks for students applying for masters and doctoral scholarships, in addition to a document Proof of the B2 language level, a copy of the passport, a health certificate proving that the student is free from communicable diseases, and a letter of motivation in which the student states the reason for choosing the offered program. For the PhD, the student must submit a research work plan and letters of recommendation.
