The RAAM faction, which has four MKs on the joint list, was absent today (Wednesday) from the vote to dissolve the Knesset in violation of the list's decision.
Members of the faction consulted until the last minutes prior to the vote and finally decided not to participate in it.
In a statement, they justified the move by serving their constituents.
"We are not in anyone's pocket," they wrote.
"Over the last few days we have tried to convince the other parties on the joint list of the need to negotiate a vote to dissolve the Knesset, so that we can study the list as a common issue, and set real demands for our society in return for this vote, such as the blow of violence and crime." , Noted in the faction.
"But our members from other parties have insisted on their position by dissolving the Knesset and going to the polls without negotiations."
They added that "going to the polls in light of these expectations will not serve our Arab public or our political representation."
