On the occasion of the Glorious Christmas, the Saint Ephrem the Syrian Patriarchal Authority for Development of the Patriarchate of Antioch and the rest of the East for the Syriac Orthodox Church inaugurated this evening a charity bazaar to support productive women, in the hall of Saint Elias Church in Dwel'a

The bazaar includes multiple products that include food, sweets, handicrafts, wooden artifacts, icons, Christmas decorations supplies, clothes and products made from natural and mystical materials made by church women, as well as participation in charitable societies and commercial events.

Bishop Boutros Kassis, Director General of the Mar Ephrem Al-Suriari Patriarchate Authority for Development, pointed out that the bazaar is part of the authority’s activities during the Christmas period, in addition to a group of activities aimed at educating women, in which women provide household products made with their own hands and benefit from its proceeds, indicating that during the Christmas period Who carries love and peace and through these bazaars are consecrated these values ​​carried by birth and other meanings such as development and social justice.

The Director of Programs at the Authority and the Bazaar Organization, Diana Yazji, indicated in a statement to a SANA delegate that the handicrafts offered were made by 35 women participating in the bazaar, which is one of the most important activities that the authority undertakes to encourage women by marketing their home-made products during the holidays and New Year.

Participation Taghreed Dawood from “A Better Life for Syrian Children” explained that its exhibits vary between chocolates and biscuits intended for children, pointing to the importance of participation to introduce the association’s products on the one hand, touching the tastes of visitors on the other hand, and offering them at nominal prices that satisfy all tastes, while Yara Haddad stated that their exhibits are handicrafts. Designated for Christmas decorations, indicating that the bazaar is a small market for displaying and marketing its products, as it does not have a place to display it.

Participant Nermin Azzam pointed out that her exhibits made of natural materials vary between "shampoos, oils, soaps and perfumes", explaining that she hopes that visitors will know more about these products to be promoted more, while Buthaina Abu Saeed explained that she exhibited a variety of wooden artifacts representing religious symbols that are Made it on wood.

A number of visitors to the bazaar praised its importance in terms of achieving benefit and doing charity to support the poor and spread joy during the festive period, as Majd Al-Lmadani noted that the bazaar embraces all the Eid supplies in one place and facilitates obtaining them in a faster time in addition to the fact that the proceeds are due to needy families and the poor, while Muhammad Nasiruddin indicated that The bazaar is a support for working women who provide for their families to continue their small businesses.

Soheir Muhanna emphasized that the bazaar brings benefit and goodness and brings joy to the hearts of poor families during the holidays.

The exhibition, which will last until the fourth of this month, is part of the activities of the Saint Ephrem Al-Suryari Patriarchate for Development in the 16-day campaign against gender-based violence.
