They are sweet muffins, peppered with almonds - and they deliberately look like the virus that worries the world the most at the moment.
In order to bring some humor into the gray Corona everyday life, a Neubiberger bakery is now selling the sweet "Covidchen".
Neubiberg
- Who knows whether the muffin tarts that have been offered at the Neubiberg bakery branch in Aumüller for a few weeks will prove themselves over the long term?
The inconspicuous "Covidchen" are right at the front of the display, but you have to look carefully at the large selection of the bakery to recognize them as such.
Either the boss or the pastry team had the idea for the Covidchen.
Conny Fracke is not entirely sure about this.
The peppered balls contain chocolate and rum, and pieces of almond sit in the glaze on the outside, providing a clear indication of the time.
Most customers find the idea funny
The sign reads: “Filled with 'disinfected chocolate'”.
The vast majority of customers think the idea is good and are happy that you bring a bit of humor into the harsh Corona everyday life.
So far, only one customer has expressed concerns because she has had a difficult time with the relatives.
A woman from Neubiberger, who enters the shop, explains: She got the disease herself in March, it is not to be trifled with, but she thinks “Covidchen” is nice.
They taste great too.
