Until the new town hall can be moved into in a few years, parts of the municipal administration will have a “transitional home”: the old inn.

Until the new town hall can be moved into in a few years, parts of the municipal administration will have a “transitional home”: the old inn.

Fahrenzhausen

- Not least because of the referendum on the location, the construction of the Fahrenzhausen town hall has been delayed, but the administration is already barely aware of anything: there is simply not enough space.

That is why it has now been decided in the local council that they want to use the old inn's building, which has been vacant for years, as a transitional home.

With almost no effort, the administration now gets new transition rooms.

The community had to approve its own application for a change in the use of the building opposite the church so that the apartments on the upper floor could be used as offices in the future.

Mayor Heinrich Stadlbauer said that no major construction work was necessary and that it was more about the technical connections for the workplaces.

The conversions are a cost-effective solution.

The administration had previously decided to outsource the building department from the current town hall.

There will be no structural changes on the ground floor

Furthermore, when applying for a change of use, the municipality makes it clear that there should be no structural changes on the ground floor.

The community's dream room remains untouched, as does the former guest room, which is actually the meeting room of the community council.

Because of the special corona distance rules, the committee only had to move to larger rooms for an indefinite period of time.

The meetings of the municipal decision-making body are currently taking place in the parish hall.

City hall chief Stadlbauer also said that the cellar of the old landlord would also remain untouched.

2. Mayor Andreas Karl emphasized that this solution would be optimal until the new town hall could be occupied in a few years.

“The building will only break if it is not used for too long,” emphasized Karl.

For years there has been a discussion in Fahrenzhausen about what should happen to the former economy.

Now there is a sensible interim solution for the next few years, and the municipality saves renting office space in order to be able to offer enough space for the administration.
