(CNN) - The

United States surpassed 100,000 current hospitalizations for COVID-19, setting a new record since the pandemic began, according to the Covid Tracking Project (CTP).

On Wednesday there are 100,226 people hospitalized with covid-19, according to CTP.

The highest daily hospitalization figures according to CTP data are:

December 2: 100,226 December


1: 98,691


November 30: 96,053


November 29: 93,265


November 28: 91,665

The United States has a cumulative number of more than 13 million cases of coronavirus, with more than 270,000 deaths.
