Augsburg: Bus driver builds an accident while drunk - the police report in full

Haunstetten - The police were called yesterday (01.12.2020) around 6.10 p.m. for a rather unusual accident after several reports were received that a public bus had hit a wall on the way to the final stop at Haunstetten West in the area of Inninger Strasse.

The bus driver then drove on.

The bus, which was damaged in the front area, was then stopped by a patrol in Königsbrunn shortly afterwards.

Passengers were no longer on the bus at this point.

A subsequent check of the 65-year-old professional driver revealed an alcohol level of just over 1.7 per mille.

A blood sample and the securing of his driver's license were the result.

The bus was then taken over by another driver.

The cooperative 65-year-old now has to answer for the danger to road traffic as a result of alcohol and unauthorized removal from the scene of the accident (with a total damage of over 2,000 euros, of which mostly self-damage).
