The Vietnamese authorities announced today the death of seven people and the loss of an eighth due to floods in the center of the country.
"The floods caused by torrential rains inundated 1,100 houses in Khan Hoa, Guangnam and Dak Lak districts, as well as damaging 746 hectares of farmland," the Chinese news agency Xinhua quoted the disaster response and control agency in Vietnam.
It is noteworthy that the victims of landslides and floods in Vietnam during the first ten months of this year, according to official statistics, 335 people were killed or missing, and these natural disasters caused losses exceeding 913 million dollars during the same period.
