Pope Francis and the former head of the Chamber of Deputies Emilio Monzó
held a meeting at the Vatican
in March of this year, but the images of that brief meeting were only released in the last hours.
But that was not what attracted attention.
What was really curious was that during the talk the Supreme Pontiff spoke openly about Argentine politics with Monzó and specifically about a well-known topic on this side of the world: the crack.

In recent days, Monzó asked to expand Juntos por el Cambio to constitute "an overcoming alternative" for the 2023 elections and add leaders such as Margarita Stolbizer and Juan Manuel Urtubey.
Monzó spoke of the possible candidates of the opposition coalition with referents of radicalism, the Pro and the Civic Coalition, but did not mention Mauricio Macri as an alternative.
