Accommodation of refugees in Ebersberg: District Office is constantly looking for accommodation
The district authority is constantly on the lookout for
refugee
accommodation, as it currently does not provide the full number of places specified in the distribution key.
After arriving in Germany and registering as an asylum seeker, the
refugees are
assigned to
an
initial reception center
, where they can submit their application and be heard.
Then they will be distributed further.
The distribution to the federal states is based on the number of inhabitants and taxpayers, the further distribution in Bavaria to the districts and urban districts according to the number of inhabitants.
"We take almost everything we can get," says an employee of the district office, who does not want to be named.
The

with the park site was also offered to the authority.
Twelve to 14 asylum seekers
are to be accommodated there, probably from January at the earliest.
An inspection has already taken place.

prime location in
the district town, some speak of the
“quarter of millionaires”.
According to its own information, the district office pays a typical local rent of 11.20 euros per square meter, i.e. around 2800 euros in total.

At the request of the development cooperation, the district office literally states: “The district of Ebersberg is, like all other districts, legally obliged to
accept people with an asylum background
according to the quota that results from the so-called Königsteiner key, which the district
currently already has
due to the
tense housing market
can only meet a good 60 percent and is therefore at the bottom in Upper Bavaria.
Decentralized smaller accommodations are to be preferred, not least from a humanitarian point of view and with a view to good and quick integration.
The county citizens and -bürgern that for this purpose
living space available
make, that's
District Office
very grateful. "
Proske hopes that there will be no
tensions
“in the corner” because of the new neighborhood
.
So far, the Ebersbergers have
behaved excellently towards
the
asylum seekers
.
He has not received any complaints since starting work in May.
