A total of 1,500,038 deaths, for 64,774,705 cases, have been recorded worldwide since the start of the pandemic in China in December.

Latin America and the Caribbean is the most affected region in the world with 452,263 deaths, ahead of Europe (430,060 deaths), and the United States and Canada (286,946).
