His relationship with Cristina Kirchner and Juan Grabois.

The concern about what is happening in Argentina.

Abortion and private property.

Pope Francis referred to all these issues in

a private letter

he sent to a group of former students that he had in the 1960s at the Colegio de la Inmaculada Concepción, in Santa Fe, with whom he has maintained a close relationship ever since. with the passage of time it became friendship.

The text, whose manuscript was accessed by

Clarín

, was sent by the Supreme Pontiff in the last hours.

It is in

 response

to a letter that two days before he had received by email from his former students, in which they

raised their concern about the political situation in Argentina.

"Dear friends, thank you for the mail. I was very happy to receive it and it also makes me happy that you are so restless for the good of the Homeland. Love for the Homeland is a fundamental value, it indicates love for the parents of the Homeland, love for traditions, love for the people of the country. Sometimes I think (looking at some European countries) that it appears, more than love for the country, love for the 'company' that runs the country ... and when you see this comes to mind the poem by Jorge Dragone:

'We died the homeland'

", begins Francisco's text.

And he continues in an intimate tone: "I have to confess that

I am not aware of everything that happens there, in detail.

The Secretary of State informs me about the progress of the countries once a week. They do it well and with meetings. There I find out about things in Argentina and I confess that

some concern me

.

"

.

The handwritten letter of Pope Francis to his friends.

In his mail, the former students that Jorge Bergoglio had during his time as a Literature teacher at the Santa Fe school during 1964 and 1965, had told him that Cristina Kirchner

politically uses her "supposed unconditional support"

even to "

escape the judgments

that her they are lurking because of the crimes their family has committed. "

In addition, they warned him that the vice president "is trying to alter the entire judicial system to her advantage" and that

"the constitutional powers are not working in Argentina

.

"

In this context, they asked him to consider "the possibility of

clearly expressing

that you do not support the institutional excesses that Mrs. Cristina is committing, vilely relegating to an unfortunate servile role the person who occupies the position of President of the Nation, with whom you had so much good understanding".

On this point, the Pope replied: "Twice they mention my relationship (closeness, friendship) with Mrs. de Kirchner.

The last time I had contact

with the two former Presidents (she and Mr. Macri)

was when they were in their duties.

After that I had no contact with them. "

And he adds: "It is true that the term 'I am very close to' or 'I am in regular contact with' is very much from 'the façade' of Buenos Aires, and it is not the first time that I am sorry to tell you (jokingly I would say that I never had 'so many friends' like now) ".

"

I have no correspondence with politicians; I

only occasionally receive letters from people who are in politics, but very few; and my answer is without getting involved in the political struggle of every day but rather pastoral and with good education," says Francisco in another section of your letter.

His former students also asked him if Grabois "really" has his support, as he says, in the face of the land grabs he promotes.

"Dr. Grabois, for years, has been a Member of the Department of Integral Human Development. Regarding what they say he says (that he is my friend, that he has contact with me, etc.) I ask you a favor, which is important to me . I

need a

copy of the statements that says that. I receive much help

, " he

said Francisco.

And he marked his point of view on the right to private property, regarding which this week he had indicated that it is

"secondary"

and that "the Christian tradition never recognized it as absolute and untouchable."

"I do nothing but repeat the Social Doctrine of the Church. It is true that some take these sayings to reform them or interpret them according to their point of view. Saint Paul VI and Saint John Paul II, in this regard,

have some even harsher expressions

" , he remarked.

And he recalled the phrase of a bishop: "When I take care of the poor they say that I am a saint; but when I ask about the cause of so much poverty they call me a communist."

In his private letter, the Pope also refers to abortion, whose legalization project is being discussed for the second time in Congress, promoted by Alberto Fernández.

Jorge Bergoglio, in his time as a Literature teacher at the Colegio de la Inmaculada Concepción, in Santa Fe. He was a teacher there in 1964 and 1965.

"The abortion issue is not primarily a religious issue, but a human issue, a matter of human ethics prior to any religious confession. And I suggest you ask yourself two questions: 1)

Is it fair to eliminate a human life to solve a problem?

And 2 )

Is it fair to hire a hit man to solve a problem?

I am amused when someone says: Why doesn't the Pope send his opinion on abortion to Argentina? Well, I have been sending it to the whole world (including Argentina) since I am Pope, "he emphasizes.

In another paragraph, Francisco maintains that many times his opinions arrive distorted in Argentina and he blamed the media for that.

"In general there it is not known what I say habitually ..., it

is known what they say that I say

, and this thanks to the media which, we well know, respond to partial, particular or partisan interests," he considered.

At the end of the letter, the Supreme Pontiff offers warm words to his former students and current friends.

"I stopped several times at the signatures ... and I remembered them one by one.

Are any of you already a great-grandfather?

And I went back to the years 64-65 and with much affection I caressed images 'reaching' to the heart while, almost unconsciously, the wording of Gerardo Diego's 'Brindis' prevailed. For me this is going back to the sources too ".
