An unimaginable number of over 350,000 civilians, discharged soldiers and their families, were helped by the NATAL organization (victims of trauma on a national background) to return to the path of life. In Israel, it has run into financial distress as a result of the reduction in the volume of donations from Israel and abroad, and now, for the first time in its history, it is launching a mass recruitment campaign.

Under the slogan "Get under the stretcher", the NATAL Association seeks the assistance of the general public so that it can continue to assist and care for discharged soldiers suffering from post-trauma.

The campaign will be launched with significant reinforcement from the small screen: the stars of the "Lock Hour" series of Here 11, which depicts the first days of the Yom Kippur War in the northern sector of the war, mobilized for the cause and were photographed in a unique and exciting video.

Actors Lee Biran, Ofer Hayun, Emery Bitton, Shachar Tabuch and Raanan Paz participated in a special photo day, where each of them represented a figure of a soldier carrying a stretcher and participated in a war or operational activity.

The stretcher they carry symbolizes the burden borne by discharged soldiers who suffer from post-trauma and are unable to free themselves from the sights, smells and sounds of the battlefield - even after years.

At the end of the video, the actors are joined by other characters, civilians who help them carry the stretcher.

Together, all the way

Natal was established in 1998 with the aim of assisting, accompanying and treating discharged combatants suffering from post-traumatic events due to incidents experienced during their military service, and over the years has expanded the nature of its activities and the populations it has cared for. Those living in lines of conflict and recently even opened the telephone helpline to the general public in need of support and assistance amid mental distress following the corona.

As part of its activities, there are more than 500 individual psychological treatments, process groups, guidance and telephone support through the helpline, unique groups accompanied by therapists (running, video, therapy, 48-hour desert workshops for organic teams) and more.

In order for the association to continue to provide a solution to the tens of thousands of Israelis currently supported by it, it owes the assistance of the general public.

Efrat Shaprut, CEO of NATAL: "We are addressing the general public for the first time and asking them for the most Israeli thing there is - to get under the stretcher. There are now tens of thousands of liberated and Israeli fighters who continue to carry the war, the attack, the past Over their heads, and live them every day anew. These people live among us. They face an invisible serious injury, but it continues to bleed for years to come. Our moral duty, as a society, is not to leave them behind, but to take care of them. To raise donations that will ensure the continued operation of NATAL and the commitment of all those citizens, soldiers and their families who paid a heavy price following life in Israel. "
