After an accident while felling trees at the Stallauer Weiher, a Wackersberger (29) with injuries to his leg had to be flown to the accident clinic in Murnau.
Wackersberg - According to the police, the 29-year-old forest worker from Wackersberg was busy cutting trees on the northern bank of the Stallauer Weiher at around 12.40 p.m. on Thursday.
Trunk suddenly splits while sawing and falls on workers
When a tree that had two trunks was felled, the accident happened.
The man first felled the trunk closer to him.
Then he wanted to cut the second trunk, which was located on the steep bank.
The Wackersberger began to saw through the trunk at a height of about 1.20 meters.
When the saw reached about two-thirds of the log, it began to split and fall.

As a result, the Wackersberger lost his balance where he was actually standing and fell down the embankment to the left.
The tree trunk fell on the man's lower leg.
The 29-year-old was still able to call the emergency services himself.
The Wackersberg fire brigade also moved in with ten emergency services.
A BRK ambulance was also on site.
The Wackersberger was finally flown to the Murnau Accident Clinic by rescue helicopter.
