Gallimard will publish the poems of Louise Glück, Nobel Prize for Literature 2020

Two first collections will appear next March. Until now, the translations of the American author's work had remained confidential.


Gallimard will publish in March two first collections of the American poet Louise Glück, Nobel Prize for literature 2020, and plans to publish others thereafter, announced Friday the publishing house.

) will be published in Gallimard's “From the Whole World” collection.

In French, the translation of a poetess had remained confidential until now, and was limited to specialized journals.

This writer, born in 1943 in New York, has published twelve collections of poems and two essays.

She teaches at Yale University and has received many prestigious awards in the United States.

At 77, this discreet woman was awarded the Nobel Prize "
