Iran called on the international community to take firm stances regarding the assassination of elites and scholars in the countries of the world.
IRNA quoted Iran's permanent representative to the European Office of the United Nations in Geneva, Ismail Baqai Hamaneh, as saying in a letter addressed to the Director-General of the World Health Organization that silence and the lack of any reaction to these crimes cannot be accepted, but rather leads to the creation of a normal situation and its repetition in various parts of the world.
Baqai Hamaneh briefed the international organization on the "valuable services" provided by the scientist and researcher in the health sector and the late Mohsen Fakhrizadeh treatment in terms of producing equipment for diagnosing infection with the Coronavirus in Iran, as well as working on producing an anti-epidemic vaccine, considering that his assassination falls within the framework of the barbaric approach in Exercising maximum pressure on the Iranian people.
Last Friday, the Ministry of Defense and the Support of the Iranian Armed Forces announced the assassination of the scientist Fakhrizadeh, following a terrorist operation he was exposed to near the capital, Tehran.
