Two Water and Forests agents were killed and two soldiers were reported missing in an attack on Friday, December 4 in the Tapoa area, in southwestern Niger, a local elected official reported.

The attackers targeted a position of the Niger Armed Forces (FAN) and Eaux et Forêts early this morning in the Tapoa (150 km south of Niamey).
The toll of the attack is two dead on the side of the foresters, three injured on the FAN side and two missing,
”said the elected official who requested anonymity.
