Refurbishment of the grandstands will not be pursued
The committee followed a town hall recommendation and decided not to pursue the originally planned repairs to the east and west grandstands for the time being as part of the extensive renovation of the Olympic ski stadium.
This phase of construction would have cost around four million euros - a huge investment for which there would have been only limited state funding.

Construction work for three years
As a reminder: construction companies have been busy for three years to bring the historic sports facility and popular sight, which was built in 1936 for the Olympic Winter Games, to shine again.
The whole thing should be finished next year.
As reported, the expansion of the east curve and remaining work in the context of the renovation of the building envelope are currently taking place.
Then there is the installation of a floodlight system.

It is unclear whether the already created tourist museum and experience concept will be implemented on the site.
