Plieninger Advent magic: evening stroll in the glow of lights

In order to provide some light and shine in Corona times, there is Advent magic in the municipality of Pliening.

Ideal for an evening stroll.

No Christmas market because of Corona, but people should still have a little Advent mood: That's what Tina Lucka and Anton Holzner thought, who organized the 1st Plieninger Advent Magic.

There are 54 stations in the community of Pliening, 54 households, families, associations, organizations and businesses take part and let their houses and buildings shine in Christmas light.

Lucka and Holzner have entered all the stops on an internet map - as a mobile hiking map for an evening stroll.

Or even several walks.

On the fence of the BRK kindergarten "Sunshine" in Landsham (Schulstrasse) hangs an advent calendar made by children.

“I am very happy that so many are taking part,” says Tina Lucka.

She created the interactive map, which can be used to walk through the individual stations.

Among them is the village square in Landsham, where there is even a sale of roasted almonds - on all three Saturdays until Christmas, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The BRK kindergarten in Landsham is also there, with an advent calendar designed by the children on the garden fence.

The Plieningen town hall and various shops are also participating and have decorated and illuminated their buildings for Advent.

Speaking of light: the organizers of the Plieninger Advent Magic have one request: To save energy, the lighting can be switched off at night - the walkers should only be out in the evening anyway, not in the middle of the night.

Citizens from all parts of the village have registered for the Advent Magic in the community of Pliening.

The map shows in detail: 31 stations in Pliening, twelve in Landsham, six in Ottersberg and five in Gelting.
