Rudy Guede, the only one convicted of the murder of Meredith Kercher, was entrusted to social services
.
ANSA learned this from circles close to the young man.
Guede was the protagonist of a process of social reintegration that appears "particularly advanced" underlines the surveillance court of Rome in the provision with which he granted the Ivorian entrustment to social services.
The judges thus accepted a request from his lawyer, the lawyer Fabrizio Ballarini.
Guede was until now detained in the Viterbo prison under a semi-liberty regime, to serve the 16 years of imprisonment that were inflicted on him with the abbreviated rite.
He will no longer have to return to prison in the evening after having worked as a volunteer at Caritas in Viterbo.
He will stay in an apartment that has been made available to him in the Viterbo area and will still have to follow some requirements.
For some time, however, Guede had benefited from a special permit linked to the prevention of Covid infections in prison that allowed him to sleep outside.
For him, the end of his sentence is scheduled for March 2022.
"Lawyer, thank you ...": these are the few words that Rudy Guede said to his lawyer, the lawyer Fabrizio Ballarini who communicated the assignment to social services.
"He is very happy but, as always, of few words," the criminal lawyer told ANSA.
Who said he was "very satisfied" with the provision.
