The head of the Russian National Medical Research Center for Pediatric Hematology, Oncology and Immunology, Alexander Rumyantsev, has warned that immune disorders caused by the Coronavirus may be fatal.
"The way in which the virus develops is completely different from that in which familiar infectious diseases develop, as the immune disorders caused by infection with corona can be fatal," TASS news agency quoted Rumyantsev as saying during a press conference.
Today, Russia recorded 27,403 new infections with the Coronavirus and 569 deaths during the past 24 hours in 85 Russian regions, most of them in the capital, Moscow and Petersburg.
