Good news for the citizens of Zollingen: On Sunday, December 6th, the district office lifts the drinking water boiling requirement - after almost three and a half months.
Zolling -
Because the microbiological limit value was exceeded, the Freising health department issued a boiling order for the drinking water of the Zolling water supply network on August 24th.
In the past few months, the municipality of Zolling, operator of the water supply, has regularly flushed the pipe network and at times also chlorinated it.
Furthermore, according to the District Office in its press release, renovation measures were carried out in the elevated tank of the water supply.
One of the three water chambers, which all serve as a reservoir, has currently been taken out of the supply network.
This means that further measures in the elevated tank can be carried out independently of the citizens' water supply.
Since November 2020, water has been purchased through a network with a neighboring water supplier.
"When sampling at numerous points in the central area of the water supply as well as in the supply network, the limit values of the drinking water ordinance have been complied with since November 16 - which is why the boiling order is lifted," said the district authority.
