The Daraa Agriculture Directorate and the livelihood team of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent branch distributed a grant that included 2,500 rations of wheat or barley seeds with fertilizer to the governorate's small farmers, provided by the International Committee of the Red Cross.
The representative of the Ministry of Agriculture, Eng. Muhammad Al-Shehadat, stated in a statement to SANA's correspondent today that one portion is 200 kilograms of wheat or barley seeds with 150 kilograms of superphosphate fertilizer for each farmer, indicating that the selection of the beneficiaries was carefully and the barley seed grant was allocated to Busra al-Sham city and its villages due to the climate The area suitable for growing barley, while Al-Sanamayn and Sheikh Maskin and its villages were chosen for the wheat seed grant.
He added: The aim of the distribution is to enable the affected families to return to practicing agricultural work and thus self-sufficiency, indicating that those in charge of work will distribute an additional two thousand rations once the processing is completed in the seed multiplication branch in sowing.
