Eight people were indicted and five of them were imprisoned as part of the dismantling of a vast network of drug trafficking in Nantes, announced the prosecution on Tuesday, December 8.

The suspects, aged in their thirties, who all have a criminal record in drug trafficking, would source cannabis directly in Belgium, the Netherlands or Morocco, in order to avoid intermediaries.
Of these, five were remanded in custody and three released under judicial supervision.
They are suspected of trafficking and importing narcotics and of criminal associations.
During the searches, four handguns were seized as well as 2.5 kilos of heroin and 130,000 euros in cash and in bank accounts.
