The National Fund for Social Aid announced that the monthly bonuses for those admitted to the second phase of the Support and Empowerment of Demobilized Program will soon be disbursed, indicating that the fund continues to implement its targeted programs that include empowering the Syrian countryside, supporting and enabling the laid-offs to serve education and support small and micro enterprises.

The Director-General of the Fund, Eng. Luay Al-Aranji, indicated in a statement to the representative of SANA that 36,286 theaters have benefited from the first phase of the support and empowerment program for laid-offs approved by the Council of Ministers in February 2019, through which a monthly reward of 35 thousand Syrian pounds was provided for a year for each theater that is not employed by government agencies to In addition, training courses were held for about 3000 theater in several fields to facilitate their access to the labor market.

Al-Aranji pointed out that the number of demobilized persons accepted to benefit from the second phase of the program is 29,105 theaters, and the monthly rewards will soon start to be paid, and objection requests for about 1000 theater people who were not accepted in the second phase of the program will be followed up.

On the competition and testing announced by the Ministry of Administrative Development last September to appoint a number of discharged from the mandatory and reserve services between Al-Arnji, it is an opportunity to provide government agencies with manpower, in addition to securing job opportunities for those who wish to be laid off and achieving social stability for them. Al-Aranji pointed out that the registration to benefit from small projects financing loans for laid-offs without interest, according to the cooperation agreement signed by the fund last August with the National Microfinance Foundation, is continuing for all laid-offs who are not employed by government agencies and who are accepted into the program to support laid-off employees in government agencies and accepted into the demobilized support program.

The value of the loan ranges from 250 thousand Syrian pounds to a maximum of 5 million pounds without the interest of the laid-offs, while the National Fund pays the full value of the loan interest, which is 10 percent, and the loan repayment period reaches a maximum of 5 years, starting from the date of the first installment, which starts after three Months from the date of grant.

The number of those registered to benefit from the loans of the National Microfinance Corporation according to Al-Aranji reached 6,150 theaters so far, while the number of those who were offered the loan to start their projects reached 145 theaters in Damascus, Aleppo, Tartous, As-Suwayda and Lattakia. Networking that the fund can implement with other financing agencies from public or private banks, so that the fund bears a percentage of the interest.

Al-Arnaji indicated that, since 2019, the Fund has also launched a program to grant a monthly compensation for a period of ten years to the wounded of the auxiliary forces, amounting to 60,000 Syrian Pounds per month.

According to Al-Aranji, the National Fund for Social Aid of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor was created in 2011 and aims to protect families and individuals through financial support through targeted programs. The second goal, which is currently being implemented is to empower the beneficiaries economically, socially and healthily.
