Writer Joan Jean builds his newly released play by the Syrian General Authority for Book, titled “Do Re Me Abjad Haze,” on imagination and mythical characters to convey the idea from the text.

The play, written by Jean for children, recounts the grandmothers ’stories about the ghoul in an imagined place called the City of Happiness, in which a series of events and conflicts take place between the children of the city and the ghoul.

The play focuses on the importance of science and art in a person’s life. Through them, the heroine of the story was able to bring the elixir through which she was able to heal her mother. The play also refers to the use of wisdom and cooperation in order to eliminate the bad people and the idea that intelligence is more often than muscle strength.

It is noteworthy that Joan Jean is a writer and theater critic who has many works, some of which are on stakes for adults and children, such as Gogol's Coat, Nour El-Ayoun, Adventure in the Future City, and the Spider's Stunt, as well as books on criticism and studies, and he is the editor-in-chief of the Theatrical Life magazine issued by the Directorate of Theaters and Music in the Ministry of Culture.
