Assistant Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Hossein Amir Abdollahian, reiterated his country's support for Syria in its war against terrorism until its territory is cleared of its abomination and stability is restored, stressing at the same time that relations between Iran and Syria are strategic and brotherly.

"Relations between the two countries are of priority and the Islamic Republic of Iran is an important and strategic partner in the region for Syria," Abd al-Lahian said, pointing out that the visit of Dr. Faisal Al-Miqdad, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, to Tehran is a true translation of the strategic relationship between Iran and Syria.

In another context, Abd al-Lahian announced that “some of the perpetrators of the assassination of Fakhri Zadeh have been identified by the security services. Those who ordered the execution of this crime have been identified and arrested, and they will receive a firm response that makes them regret their act.”

Abd al-Lahyan indicated that the details of this intelligence and security operation that will be taken to respond to this network will be announced in a timely manner by the concerned security departments concerned.

The Ministry of Defense and the support of the Iranian armed forces announced late last month the assassination of Fakhryzadeh, following a terrorist operation that was exposed near the capital, Tehran, while an official in the American administration revealed that the Israeli occupation entity was behind this crime.
