In a statement to SANA correspondent, the Director General of the Corporation, Eng. Mahmoud Akla, stated that “Alouk water pumping station is currently out of service due to the power outage supplying it as a result of the excessive exploitation by the Turkish occupation forces and their mercenaries from terrorists and attacks on the tension line coming from the Darbasiyah substation, which caused an increase Breakdowns on the line, "calling for all parties to intervene to remove the violations on the line of tension feeding the station, especially since there are neighborhoods without drinking water for the 16th consecutive day."

Okla pointed out that "the maintenance work of the line of tension feeding the station has not stopped during the last period, but the mercenaries of the occupation are again infringing on the line and drawing illegal electricity from the pumping station."

The Turkish occupation forces, located in the countryside of the occupied city of Ras al-Ain, cut off the water of the Alouk pumping station repeatedly and threaten the lives of about one million citizens who live in the city of Hasaka and its surroundings and the western countryside of the governorate, especially since the project is their only source of drinking water.
