The Central District Court today (Wednesday) convicted kindergarten teacher Carmel of ever abusing helpless toddlers in a kindergarten she owns in Rosh HaAyin.

In all, she has never been charged with 18 counts of abuse and assault against 11 infants and toddlers.

Among other things, the kindergarten teacher was accused of covering the babies 'heads with a blanket, sitting on them to prevent movement, tying one of the toddlers' hands with a string for minutes to hours, holding several of them by force and lifting them in the air until they were thrown to the floor.

She was also accused of shaking, putting babies face down on the wall, sometimes for hours, and that she whipped them with a diaper, slapped them, pinched them and pulled their heads back while blocking their noses and mouths.

During the hearing, the children's parents called out to Meuda "Today you are seemingly separated. Apparently there is nothing about the children's tears, about the treatments they are undergoing," adding: "Today you will honestly earn what you did."

She never went on the witness stand about three months ago.

Because 17 of the cases were videotaped and there was no dispute as to their occurrence, she was only required to testify about one case, in which she was accused of forcing a child in kindergarten to eat his vomit - a case she denied.

"It was not and was not created," Mauda said.

"I take full responsibility for what I did. I did not do this specific act, he took out food, and ate it back. I did not force him to eat it. It can happen in any garden and at home."

The investigation against Meuda began following the publication of documentation of the abuse, as recorded on cameras placed in the nursery.

The documentation revealed harsh acts and even ignited huge protests across the country.

The parents of the toddlers at the "Baby Love" nursery, which she has always operated, used to come to the legal hearings in the case, and more than once called her cries from the audience benches.

Shortly after the affair broke out, Meoda's house in Rosh HaAyin, where the nursery was located, was set on fire.

The lighter, Adir Ratzon, was convicted in a plea deal in July and sentenced to three and a half years in prison.

About a year ago, the Central District Attorney's Office announced that it would file an indictment against Liraz Natan, one of the assistants who worked at the kindergarten, for assaulting a minor by a person in charge.

The prosecution informed the assistant's attorneys that their allegations had been rejected at the hearing and that an indictment would be filed against her.

In addition, the prosecution informed other suspects that the case in their case had been closed.

Notice of this was also given to the power of attorney of the parents of the toddlers who were in the kindergarten.
