Abu Al-Eish indicated that the project included the installation of two transformers (200 kVA) with full equipment and two engines with a capacity of 75 horsepower each, providing irrigation water to about 450 hectares of agricultural land in the town of Salou and the surrounding villages, and contributes to restoring life to large areas of land. Which was out of service for years due to the suspension of agricultural irrigation groups.

The committee was also briefed on the stages of completion in the project to rehabilitate the third sector of government irrigation, the reality and needs of the educational sector in a number of schools in the eastern countryside of the province, the Deir Ezzor automated bakery and the Al-Taym plant facilities of the Al Furat Oil Company.

The director of the Euphrates Basin branch in Deir Al-Zour, Lawrence Al-Hussein, stated that the irrigation project in the third sector, which is being rehabilitated through the installation of four engines, maintenance of the waterways and lifting stations, irrigates about 11 thousand hectares, in which completion rates have reached advanced stages.

The Director of Education in Deir Al-Zor, Nashat Al-Ali, stated that the number of schools opened in the governorate is 338 schools that have been provided with all the educational requirements and cadres, and the number of students has reached 133,000 students, and students who have dropped out of school have been referred to Program (B).

The Director of Operations at Al Furat Petroleum Company, Eng. Fawaz Afara, explained the reality of the Al-Taim plant of the Al Furat Oil Company, which has become a central crude oil treatment plant with a design capacity of 50 thousand barrels per day.

In addition, the committee held a meeting with a number of official and popular actors in the governorate, during which they listened to the demands and needs of the governorate.

The meeting was attended by Minister of State for Investment Affairs, Engineer Muhammad Fayez Al-Barsha, Governor of Deir Ezzor Fadel Najjar, Secretary of the Deir Ezzor Branch of the Arab Socialist Baath Party Raed Al-Ghadhban, the provincial police chief, and a number of parliament members.
