A 16-year-old boy from the village of Ilut was arrested last night (Wednesday) on suspicion of murdering 16-year-old boy Ahmad Abu Ras, also a resident of the village.
The tragic incident took place yesterday evening when Abu Ras was found lying on a sidewalk in the village, unconscious and drinking blood as a result of stabbings.
Abu Ras was rushed to a hospital in Nazareth in critical condition, but doctors were forced to determine his death.
The hospital reported to the police about the boy who had stab wounds on his body, and it opened an investigation and began searching to locate the scene and locate suspects in the act.
Upon locating the scene, police forces began escorting a forensic vehicle to collect findings from the scene.
At the end of the assessment of the situation, the investigation was assigned to the murder unit of the Central Unit in the Northern District. After searching for the suspect in the act whose identity was known to the police, a 16-year-old boy was arrested who allegedly fled the scene.
