Peter von der Wippel has had enough: In an open letter to Markus Söder, the Tölzer City Council (FWG) asked the Prime Minister to reconsider the recent tightening, especially in terms of winter sports.

Bad Tölz

- “Nobody wants après-ski or extravagant large events.

But a bit of normality should be possible, ”writes Peter von der Wippel.

He is alluding to the fact that mountain railways, among other things, are not allowed to open - despite sophisticated hygiene concepts.

“I expect that the possibility of running small lifts, valley lifts, etc. will be examined,” writes the Tölzer.

At the same time, von der Wippel is calling for day trips to neighboring countries to be allowed without having to be quarantined for ten days afterwards.

"Believe me, Dr.

Söder, if we don't let people head for Austria - be it for skiing, hiking, snowshoeing, ski touring - then you no longer need to bother Ischgl, then we have our own German or Upper Bavarian superspreader events everywhere in the foothills of the Alps! "

Von der Wippel also does not want to get into his head that ski tourers are not allowed to use the slopes.

There are more beginners than ever before.

"Sending them all into the alpine terrain would be extremely negligent and also represent a significant problem for nature conservation."

In places, von der Wippel accuses the government of "gross nonsense" and a number of negligence.

“Why didn't our government prepare for this second wave, which has been expected since May at the latest, over the summer months?

Instead of incorporating the experience and knowledge of the last eight months into the measures, the reaction is just as hectic, haphazard and exaggerated as in March. "

Von der Wippel is particularly bothered by the fact that exponential growth has been stopped - and that there are still further tightenings.

Most of all, however, he worries that the politicians, through their incomprehensible actions, are driving ranks of supporters into the arms of anti-democratic forces.

“I am not surprised that the crowd of 'lateral thinkers' is getting bigger every Saturday.

And these are not all right muddled heads.

That makes it too easy for yourself. "
