Britain renewed its rejection of the Israeli occupation plans to annex Palestinian lands, stressing that they are inconsistent with international law.
According to WAFA, the British Minister of State for Multilateral Relations at the British Foreign Office, Tariq Ahmed, stressed during a phone call with the Palestinian Minister of Foreign Affairs Riyad al-Maliki today on his country's firm stance on the Palestinian issue and its rejection of the annexation plan, noting that Britain supports the initiative calling for an international conference to settle the issue. The Palestinian Authority is based on international law, UN resolutions, and relevant references.
Ahmed affirmed his country's continued support for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).
