The Israeli occupation forces continued their aggressive practices against our people in the occupied Syrian Arab Golan, and extended the arrest of two young men, due to their participation yesterday in confronting the occupation’s plot to erect giant wind turbines on their agricultural lands.
SANA's correspondent in Quneitra stated that the Israeli occupation forces continued to arrest the two youths, Taymour Noureddine Masoud and Nader Ghassan Al-Shaer, from the occupied Syrian Golan, out of 8 citizens who were arrested by the occupation forces yesterday during their confrontation with the occupation authorities ’plan to set up wind turbines on their lands.
The steadfastness of the people of the occupied Golan and their adherence to their rights and lands, which they expressed through demonstrations, protests and public anger yesterday in the villages of Majdal Shams, Baqatha, Masada and Ein Qinya in the occupied Syrian Golan despite the Israeli occupation forces ’assault on the people with rubber bullets and tear gas, forcing the occupation to bow to their demands not to enter the town’s lands Sahita occupied again to erect giant wind turbines and to release the detainees, respectively.
Yesterday, more than twenty citizens of our people were injured in the occupied Syrian Golan, as a result of attacking them with rubber bullets and tear gas while the Israeli occupation forces tried to disperse them while they were gathering in agricultural lands and confronting them with the occupation mechanisms that were brought in to start implementing the giant wind turbine scheme on their lands.
Yesterday, our people in the occupied Syrian Golan carried out a general and comprehensive strike for all life facilities, disrupting schools and remote education, and went to the lands to be built on giant fans and spread there to prevent the Israeli occupation authorities from implementing their expansion plan on the residents' properties.
