Major General Ahmed Idris, head of the Egyptian Labor Party and general coordinator of the National Bloc (Love in Egypt) condemned the continuation of the unilateral coercive economic measures imposed on Syria, stressing that it is an international crime that violates all laws and charters.

Idris said in a statement to SANA's correspondent in Cairo that “the United States of America and its allies from the axis of evil still have ambitions and plans in the region, especially in Syria, and when all their tools, including terrorist organizations, media lies and conspiracies, have failed, their plans are directed to the economic siege to target the Syrian people.”

Idris praised Syria's steadfastness in the face of these plots and said that Syria, a people, an army and a leadership, has resisted and won all the battles it fought against terrorism and confirmed its victories in international diplomatic forums, and it will win in the face of the occupation and liberate all its lands from the American, Turkish and Zionist occupation.
