Klaus Wegerer from Poing experienced first hand how a “crime scene” is created.

Two days of shooting took place in and in front of his house.

The film crew even cleaned the windows.

Ambulance, police, hectic running back and forth, loud shouts - passers-by were amazed at the scenes that took place on Schwanenstrasse in Poinger Seewinkel over two days.

"Pssst, we're making a film," was the answer when asked.

Scenes were shot for the ARD cult series “Tatort”, specifically for the Munich edition.

Which is why the two chief inspectors Leitmayr (Udo Wachtveitl) and Batic (Miroslav Nemec) were in Poing, as well as the other leading actress in this episode, the Austrian actress Nina Proll.

Klaus Wegerer estimates that the film team was around 50 men and women.

The “Tatort” crew was at work in front of and in the house of the 68-year-old, Wegerer celebrated his 68th birthday on the second day of shooting.

A gift that the film team gave the pensioner: The living room windows were polished to a shine.

"When one camera was taken, the director noticed that the large living room windows weren't entirely clean," says Wegerer with a smile.

The sun shone mercilessly through the windows, which is why even the smallest streaks were visible.

“Someone from the film team cleaned the windows without further ado,” says Poinger.

The fact that the “crime scene” was at home with him was due to a coincidence.

A few weeks ago, his wife went out of the house and was asked whether she would object to a film being shot here.

The production company was looking for motifs in the Seewinkel development area.

The Wegerer family did not mind.

Two things totally surprised me: How many people work on a film shoot and how often a scene is repeated.

It was now filmed on Schwanenstrasse for two days.

The scene in the house: A seriously injured man lies on the floor and is brought out to the ambulance on a stretcher by paramedics.

There is excitement in front of the door, a few meters away the two chief inspectors are sitting in a police car and watching the scene.

The crime scene"

The ARD crime series “Tatort” is celebrating its 50th birthday this year.

In the 1970s, Gustl Bayrhammer played the chief inspector in Munich's “Tatort”, and in the 1980s it was Helmut Fischer.

The first "Tatort" with Udo Wachtveitl (as Franz Leitmayr) and Miroslav Nemec (Ivo Batic) was broadcast on January 1, 1991.

"Two things totally surprised me," says Klaus Wegerer.

"On the one hand, how many people are needed to shoot a film, and on the other hand, that a scene is repeated an estimated 20 times until everyone is satisfied with it." Actors and extras to catering for the film team.

Speaking of extras: “On the first day of shooting, I was amazed why a woman rides up and down on her bike so often outside.

Until I noticed that it was an extra, ”says Wegerer with a laugh.

Poing: Warming up in the Wegerer house

Because it was cold on both days of shooting, “people always came into the house to warm up,” reports Poinger.

Not the two chief inspectors, they only had a brief assignment outside on Schwanenstrasse.

The other leading actress, Nina Proll, already.

It was her turn on the second day of shooting with various scenes and takes, most of them outside the door in the cold.

Airing planned for February 2022

The “Tatort” team was in Schwanenstrasse from around 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., says Klaus Wegerer.

After it had been removed after the second day, it had forgotten one detail: to remove the doorbell plate again.

It didn't say “Wegerer” for the shoot, but a different name.

When a visit to Klaus Wegerer wanted to come by in the evening to give him a birthday present, he wondered about the other name on the doorbell and went on, says the 68-year-old.

Minutes later he was able to clear the case.

According to the Munich production company Favoritfilm GmbH, the episode of the crime scene will be titled “Tatort-Kehraus” and is expected to be broadcast on ARD in February 2022.

Almost two years ago, another crime thriller was filmed in Poing's new building area: “Kühn has to do”.
