In full containment and despite the Covid-19 pandemic, they braved the bans by organizing clandestine parties bringing together cen

The party is over, for the moment, for Feel Free Records (FFR).

At the beginning of the week, two officials of this association - one of the major players in the world of free parties - as well as the head of the online Shotgun ticket office, were arrested and placed in police custody following an investigation by La Courneuve police station (Seine-Saint-Denis).

"The Bobigny prosecutor's office has decided to prosecute them for endangering the lives of others," said a satisfied source close to the investigation.

In police memory, this is a first in this area.

"The goal is to have fun"

Since October 29, France was once again confined and gatherings of more than 1,000 people, a fortiori, still prohibited.

Ignoring the rules of social distancing, on November 30, the decibels were howling at the top of their lungs in disused SNCF warehouses in Paris (13th).

And hundreds of revelers communed in a frantic trance until the early hours of the morning.

The clandestinity of these festivals is clearly assumed by FFR.

On the home page of his site, he claims to "secretly organize events in unusual and underground places" with this slogan: "The goal is to have fun.

"

One of these unauthorized techno parties quickly emerged from anonymity thanks to a video report.

On November 21, the online media Brut sent one of its journalists immersed in one of the events organized by FFR.

The party therefore took place on this disused SNCF right of way in the 13th arrondissement.

Techno music deluge

The teufeurs had walked in a tunnel, along an alley marked by candles before plunging into the heart of the evening.

In a deluge of lasers and techno music, 300 people danced tightly on the track.

“Everything was very well marked.

The tickets were marketed on the online service which only communicated the date of the evening.

It was not until the same day that the participants received the GPS coordinates of the party, ”explains an internal source.

Once out of the metro, a guide guided them to the place of the festivities.

One of the participants confided to the reporter from Brut: “I am not irresponsible.

We want to dance, we want to enjoy.

There will be no repercussion.

When I'm there, I don't feel guilty.

The other teufeurs spoke of this unbearable loneliness and of a "need for freedom".

In view of this document, the La Courneuve police officers were able to trace them back to the organizers and link them to other free parties.

One of them took place at La Courneuve on September 27.

A thousand people attended.

Placed in police custody, the two organizers and the person in charge of the online ticket office are on the same wavelength as the party-goers.

Aged 20 to 25, they are all from Ile-de-France.

“They say they want to have fun, share common values and live their young lives,” explains a source familiar with the matter.

But this assumed carelessness is accompanied by a beginning of awareness: "They recognize that they may have put people in danger", continues this source.

For a participation of five to ten euros, these free parties generate comfortable profits, in the order of 60,000 euros per year.
