With a seven-day incidence of over 300, Erding in Upper Bavaria is still THE corona hotspot district.

"We also want to achieve a preventive effect through the increased police presence."

The police are satisfied with the first night: “We are pleased to note that the restrictions and requirements are accepted by the vast majority of the population in all areas,” said the spokesman.

All citizens reacted "consistently insightful and understanding" to addressing any violations.

The Presidium has announced further concerted controls for the coming days and nights.

As reported, around 800 reports of this kind had been received by the Erding District Office by last week alone.
