Amelia and Sister Teresa are proud to show their
comedor
(canteen).
Located in La Vega, a poor district of Caracas, it belongs to the large network created by Roberto Patino, a young activist of Primero Justicia, the party of Enrique Capriles: Convive Caracas y Alimenta de Solidaridad.
These 239
comedores
are located in 13 of the 23 states in the country.
They feed 25,000 children.
Amelia and Sister Teresa are happy at the beginning of December, because they have been able to welcome children again for a week.
Their canteen had been closed since March 16 due to confinement.

This long period caused a lot of damage to Venezuelan children.
The undernutrition rates started to rise again and the two animators found children with severe deficiencies.
According to Caritas, undernutrition among children under 5 increased by 73% during confinement.
