Sales of the Syrian Trade Corporation branch in Hama from the beginning of this year until last November reached 10 billion pounds, an increase of 4 billion over the same period last year.
Riad Zyoud, director of the Syrian branch, told SANA's correspondent that the sales achieved reflect the extent of the corporation’s positive intervention in the market and the spread of its outlets in the various regions of the governorate, which numbered 138 outlets, pointing to the existence of a plan for horizontal expansion of the sales outlets to meet the needs of citizens throughout the geography of the province.
He added: works are currently underway to rehabilitate a hall in the town of Qamhana in the northern countryside of the governorate, and two in the towns of Saboura and Bari Sharqi in the eastern countryside, in addition to the rehabilitation of two halls within the city of Hama, the first is the Husseiniyat hall and the second is Sheikh Alwan.
It is noteworthy that the sales of the Corporation's branch during the same period last year did not exceed 6 billion pounds.
