One dead and three injured claimed a frontal collision on the B472 near Reichersbeuern on Thursday afternoon.
An expert has to clarify how it could happen that the person who caused the accident suddenly found itself on the opposite lane.
A dog was also killed in a car.

In a frontal collision on the B472 near Reichersbeuern, an 81-year-old woman from the Miesbach district perished on Thursday afternoon.
A 67-year-old was seriously injured.
In addition, one couple was slightly injured and one dog died.
According to the police, the 81-year-old was on the way from Bad Tölz towards Waakirchen at about 2:25 p.m. when she got into the oncoming lane for an unknown reason.
There she collided with the oncoming seat of an Ottobrunner.
This had to be flown to the accident clinic in Murnau by rescue helicopter.
The terrier who sat with her car is dead. Behind the seat, a BMW driver (74) from Waakirchen could not brake in time.
He and his wife (72) suffered minor injuries.
In addition to several police patrols and ambulances, two emergency doctors and the fire brigades from Greiling, Reichersbeuern, Bad Tölz and Waakirchen were on duty at the scene of the accident.
The federal highway was closed for several hours.

, the driver drove into the opposite lane for reasons that have not yet been clarified.
There was a head-on collision with a car. The person who had caused the accident succumbed to her injuries at the scene of the accident.
The investigation is still ongoing and there will be a follow-up report.
