Ben & Jerry's is launching a festive campaign among its customers in Israel, in which it is expected to bring back to life one of five popular flavors sold in Israel in the past and their marketing here has been stopped.

The fans are the ones who will finally determine, in fact, who is the coveted taste that will return to the shelves.

The five flavors from which the flavor that will come back to life, that is, to produce permanently are selected are: Salted Caramel (fine ice cream with blondie brownies and salted caramel core), Cherry Garcia (cherry ice cream with cherries and pieces of fudge), everything except (chocolate ice cream and ice cream Vanilla with pieces of crunchy toffee, pieces of white chocolate, chocolate-coated peanut butter and chocolate-coated almonds, pistachio (pistachio ice cream with pistachio pieces) and waste coffee (espresso coffee ice cream with coffee-flavored chocolate pieces).

In 1997, Ben & Jerry's built a cemetery near Vermont, USA, for a flavor cemetery where you can find tombstones for every flavor they stopped producing.

An identical "cemetery" was also established in Israel in 2005 and from it, as mentioned, one flavor will be chosen that will come back to life.

Avi Singer, CEO of Ben & Jerry's in Israel, told Israel Today: "The cemetery commemorates the ice creams that have become iconic and as a tribute to flavors that are no longer with us.

From time to time, the company "brings back to life" the taste of ice cream according to requests and inquiries from the "Ben & Jerry's" fan club.

"All the time we 'go crazy' and ask 'bring back that taste and bring back that taste.' The previous time the Peanut Butter Cup flavor won, but the cinnamon buns flavor ended up with a very small gap so, after requests came we decided to bring it back too. Given many dilemmas about whether to return flavors or take out others, because in the end we are limited. Some people take it personally because everyone has the taste they like. Now consumers will decide which flavor will be returned.Returning the taste will take about three months because the ingredients need to be ordered The raw and we have to prepare for that. '

During a visit to the company's factory a few months ago, Singer told us that the leading flavor in Israel is cookie cream.

Then there are the flavors Vanilla, Toffee, New York Super, Chunky, Cookie Dough, Chocolate Brownies, Dolce De Leche which is unique to Israel, followed by Cheesecake and Strawberry Cake.

"Cherry Garcia is one of the leading flavors in the United States," Singer said at the time. "There is not a day that we do not receive a message from consumers asking when we will bring the flavor to the country. However, five times we brought that flavor to the country and failed. Some flavors like and some do not. The leading flavors in the United States are different than in Israel.
