Hizbullah called for the necessity to prosecute the crime of bombing the Beirut port on logical and legal grounds, rejecting the absence of uniform standards that lead to political targeting of personalities and ignoring others without right.
In a statement issued today in response to the decision of the investigating judge in the crime of the port explosion, the party stressed the importance of re-approaching this important file again and taking legal measures to ensure that the desired truth is reached by unified standards totally far from politicization and in a way that reassures the Lebanese people about the course of this case “because the port crime It is not an ordinary crime. Rather, it is a big issue of the size of the nation. "
The statement affirmed Hezbollah's keenness on the Lebanese people's right to know the full truth about the crime, starting with the arrival of the explosive materials ship to the port and the authorities that own it and knowing the final destination of this shipment and the reasons why it remained for all those years in the port's wards up to the causes of the explosion and who was behind it in addition to any other reason. From negligence, corruption, or mismanagement, which affects everyone who can have any direct or indirect role in responsibility according to the hierarchical position for that serious crime.
In its statement, the party expressed its full and principled support for the impartial and transparent judicial investigation into the crime of the port explosion, and the disclosure of all parties or individuals responsible for it, whoever they are, and their trial and the imposition of harsh sentences and punishments against them in a way that inspires hope in the hearts of the Lebanese amid the difficult circumstances that Lebanon is going through.
