Song Xiaozhuang, director of the National Hong Kong and Macau Research Association, wrote in a newspaper today (11th) that Liu Hui is related to the part-time legislator system of the Legislative Council. He criticized some legislators for "seeing work as a sideline and business as a business," and therefore often absent from work.
He believes that the parliamentarians have good salary and heavy work, and there should be no other main business.

Song Xiaozhuang wrote an article in Ming Pao, mentioning that the flow of meetings is that there are fewer than a quorum of members attending the meeting, and there are two main reasons why members do not attend the meeting. One is "deliberate mischief", and someone deliberately leaves when they ask for a count; After the National People's Congress has made its decision, it has a deterrent effect on the "deliberately mischievous" members, and it can be inferred that the Legislative Council’s flow and rabbi will decrease.
However, Song Xiaozhuang pointed out that another reason for not attending the meeting was that for some members, parliamentary work was only a part-time job, and they had other more important principal positions, so they were not present at the time.
He believes that the decision of the National People's Congress may not be a deterrent to members who are busy with more important duties. He suggested that the Legislative Council review the working system of members and establish a system of full-time members to allow members with full-time positions to "resign and give up their positions."
