The government launches the French Tech for the Planet operation

The government is launching “French Tech for the Planet” “

to bring out new French ecological champions of ecological transition

”.

The initiative was launched under the aegis of the Minister for Ecological Transition Barbara Pompeli and of the Secretary of State for Digital Transition, Cédric O. Both are convinced that “

the French Tech ecosystem is a source of innovation. essential to accelerate the ecological transition.

It must both be the driving force behind this transformation by offering solutions to citizens and businesses, while itself being part of a positive impact approach

Concretely, a call for applications is launched.

Start-ups have until January 31 to respond.

They can submit their files on the French Tech site.

The jury, composed of Marc Simoncini, CEO of Angell.bike and Daphni Partner, Christel Heydemann, CEO of Schneiders Electrics France, Pierre-François Thaler, co-founder and CEO of Ecovadis (French Tech 120) and Marie Mawad, journalist of Sifted, will meet in February and the selected companies will be known mid-March.

They will benefit from the same support measures as those forming part of the Next40 / French Tech 120 system.

Selection conditions

The call for projects is aimed at start-ups developing solutions or products dedicated to ecological transition.

The areas concerned are very vast, from the production of carbon-free hydrogen, recycling, sustainable food, through innovative buildings, alternatives to pesticides, the development of cycling in urban areas, etc.

The company must also be less than twenty years old, have a registered office in France, be a young, innovative, independent company.
