The TikTok, Zoom, Google Meet and Disney + applications, big winners of the year 2020

This figure, up 10% from 2019, means higher revenue for Apple and Google, which take commissions.

In total, $ 112 billion will be spent by users over the whole year, an increase of 25% from last year.

It is the in-app purchases directly in the applications that inflate the amount of these expenses.

Concerning France, consumers spent a total of 4.3 billion euros on mobile applications between January 1 and November 14, 2020. For Apple's application store, this generated 2.2 billion euros in revenue, for Google Play 2.1 billion euros in revenue.

In France as in the rest of the world, it is TikTok which takes first place in the ranking of the most downloaded applications, ahead of Facebook and WhatsApp.

The time spent on all professional applications is impressive: + 200% between 2019 and 2020, going from 7 to 20 billion hours of use worldwide.

For its part, Disney +, launched last April in France, made a sensational entry in the ranking of the apps in which consumers spend the most.

The platform has succeeded in increasing the number of subscriptions of its users via their mobiles.
