Residents of the Bahnweg in Dorfen are annoyed by the bags that have been thrown away from the board.

  • For months, residents on the Bahnweg in Dorfen have been observing that

    filled food

    bags are

    thrown away

    in public

    rubbish bins

    .

  • The food

    counter of

    the

    Dorfener Tafel

    is near the rubbish bin

    .

  • With the blackboard, you want to think about how you can

    counteract

    the

    rubbish problem

    .

  • Everything from the region is available in the Erding newsletter.

Dorfen

- For months,

filled

food bags

have apparently been

thrown away

in public

rubbish bins

on the Bahnweg in Dorfen

and used clothing, books, shoes and other

rubbish have been

thrown away

on benches

.

Local residents have been watching this for months.

“That's enough,” says Georg Scharl, who lives on Bahnweg, in an interview with our newspaper.

“It's a huge stall,” says the Dorfen real estate entrepreneur.

Dorfen: Donated food from the board thrown away in rubbish bins?

Trash baskets

on the Bahnweg

are regularly

full to the brim

with

groceries

, very close to the food

counter

at the

Dorfener Tafel

.

On site, Scharl shows our newspaper one of the full rubbish bins not far from his house.

The entrepreneur is outraged that

donated food is being thrown away

.

In the rubbish there was also a bag filled with groceries, canned goods and sweets, which had probably been handed out in the nearby Dorfen table.

"I'm glad we heard about the matter," said Ruth Wildgrube, chairwoman of the

Dorfen

neighborhood

help, which also runs the food bank.

The behavior "annoys me very much".

So far, however,

no

one had

any knowledge

of the fact that whole bags were thrown away.

At the table, people will "now think about how we can counteract this and what can be done".

Donated food in rubbish bins - Tafel chairwoman sees problem in corona restrictions

But Wildgrube is also certain that there are very few

isolated cases

.

"The vast majority of Tafel customers are very, very happy and grateful for the help of the Tafel, especially now in the

Corona period

."

The chairwoman sees the

restrictions

during the pandemic as

a

problem

.

Because of the narrow space in the grocery store, clearances could not be maintained and customers could no longer choose their own items.

The volunteer Tafel employees currently only hand out

filled bags

.

But one is happy to be able to keep the table open at all now.

Dorfen: Food from the table ends up in the garbage can - annoyance from residents

He can

not understand

the

behavior of

these people at all, says Scharl.

"Some donate, and others just throw it away," says the Dorfener.

If someone doesn't need or perhaps doesn't like things, “then you can give them back or pass them on”.

Scharl reports that all kinds of things are regularly disposed of in the middle of the city

on and on the

benches

along the railway line.

Big bags are usually filled with things like shoes, clothing, books, household items and other things.

However, the

Bahnweg

is not the right place to store things like this in the wild, even if it is thought that other people could take something with them.

Dorfen: It is not known who throws the food in the trash cans

The city's building

yard employees

would drive through the railroad twice a week to empty full

rubbish bins and dispose of

the

things left behind

.

During the short conversation on Bahnweg, passers-by who live in the district also came by.

They confirmed Scharl's observations: "Yes, this has been going on for months."

So

far, neither Scharl nor other residents have been able to observe

who exactly throws the things into the

trash cans

.

One has now announced that he wants to "keep an eye on it".

The

core idea

of the

panels

is to prevent just the destruction of food that would be disposed of by the food retail sector because of the expiration date already says Wildgrube.

Throwing away donated food is

absolutely contrary to this idea.

The corona numbers in the Erding hotspot continue to rise.

The 7-day incidence is now 320.3.

The situation in the homes is particularly dire.

And the town hall in Taufkirchen is being transformed into a film studio: because the town council had to be canceled, Mayor Stefan Haberl is making an online video.
