Hardly a car was ready to drive after a mass accident on Saturday on the A 9 shortly after the Fürholzen rest area.
A lot of horsepower was involved.

On the A 9 late Saturday afternoon in the direction of Munich, shortly after the Fürholzen West rest area, there was a traffic accident involving five cars. A 26-year-old Freilassinger was in the right-hand lane of the three-lane motorway with his new Dodge-RAM pick-up been on the road when he switched to the middle lane and hindered a Wolnzacher coming from behind in an Audi A 6.
He therefore switched to the left lane, but overlooked an Audi RS 3 that was driven by a man from Ingolstadt (33).
Autobahn was closed for 45 minutes
When the two vehicles came into contact with one another, the RS 3 first hit the central guardrail and was then thrown onto the right-hand lane, where it came to a completely damaged halt.
The Audi A6, no longer ready to drive, came to a stop across the left lane.
Two other occupants of the Audi A6 and the driver of the Audi RS3 were slightly injured and taken to the surrounding clinics.
Two other cars suffered a blown tire due to vehicle parts lying around and were no longer ready to drive.
The motorway had to be closed for about 45 minutes.
Total damage: 35,000 euros.
The Eching fire brigade supported the traffic management.
