On the effectiveness of calligraphy, engineer Lubna Haddad, head of the culture of Mezze, said in a statement to SANA, “It comes as the beginning of cooperation between the center and the House of Arabic Calligraphy and the Arts with the aim of introducing young people and adolescents in Arabic calligraphy as one of the pillars of the Arabic language and helping them learn it through knowing its types, and this will be activated through a series of Successive workshops at the center ”.

In his turn, plastic artist Reem Kubtan, head of the House of Arabic Calligraphy and Arts Association, said that the event is part of the association’s tendency to spread Arabic calligraphy among children and adolescents, so that they become more belonging to our culture and our artistic and cultural heritage and to preserve and develop this art.

Fine artist Siham Muhaisen mentioned that the participating students have a solid foundation in Arabic calligraphy and have strong hands in writing, and they interacted greatly with the information presented to them about the types of calligraphy, principles of the line of the patch and writing letters and words with the scale of this line.

For her part, the plastic artist and Nisa Al-Abed Al-Madrasa explained that the young participants liked the line of the patch within the simple principles included in the workshop and were able to move smoothly and quickly from writing letters to writing words and sentences.

The two supervisors accompanying the female students from the schools of martyrs girls, Dima Makhlouf and Canada Kamel, indicated that the school administration is constantly looking for the talents of female students, supporting and developing them.

Sixth-grade student Zeina Othman expressed her happiness to participate in the workshop, which gave her new skills in the art of Arabic calligraphy and their practical application.
