At least 27 people were killed in a terrorist attack by Boko Haram militants in southeast Niger.
The French Press Agency quoted a local official as saying that "there are officially 27 dead and a number of wounded in addition to some missing in this attack launched by Boko Haram" on the village of Toumour in the Diffa region in southeastern Niger near Nigeria.
This attack coincides with the municipal and regional elections in Niger.
